Conor McSherry
Mr. McSherry began his career as a mapping specialist producing maps for Uber ATG’s autonomous vehicle program. In his role at Uber ATG, he tested map production tools, ensured the quality of maps and aided in the development of mapping operations and standards through evaluating and solving production floor issues. He has managed field technician teams, projects, job bids, job scheduling as well as working with clients to guarantee job satisfaction and client retention.
During his time at Bloomsburg University and Ball State University, Mr. McSherry completed geologic cross sections of the Morrison Formation, Sundance Formation and Spearfish Formation as well as various GIS projects including the Columbia County, PA portion of the Susquehanna watershed. He has an assorted background of environmental testing, field mapping, map production, and data research, analysis, and interpretation.
Mr. McSherry has experience with various ESRI products including ArcMap, ArcGIS Online, and ArcGIS StoryMaps. As an intern for Columbia County GIS, Mr. McSherry worked on updating county cadastral information. He was tasked with researching and creating the 2016 county HAZUS Mitigation Plan along with their various maps necessary for county funding.
Mr. McSherry’s assignments at AMO include, but are not limited to; multi-media sampling in support of site characterization, remedial investigations, and remedial actions; oversight of ground penetrating radar surveys; oversight of groundwater monitoring well installation; and groundwater and contaminant-concentration contouring. He is also responsible for preparation of boring logs, well-construction records, and other field data acquisition records, along with GIS database maintenance and assessment.
Mr. McSherry has a history of volunteer work following natural disasters to help people secure FEMA funding (Cedar Rapids, Iowa – 2008 & Baton Rouge, Louisiana – 2016), and local community revitalization programs.
