AMO Environmental Decisions (AMO) is an environmental consulting firm located in Doylestown, Pennsylvania (www.amoed.com). The firm provides, among other services: site investigation; remedial design, remediation oversight and management; permitting and regulatory compliance; due diligence support; GIS analysis; regulatory agency interaction; and client advocacy.


Mid-Senior Level GIS Analyst – Doylestown, Pennsylvania

We are currently seeking resumes from qualified Mid- to Senior-level GIS Analysts. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience working in the environmental field as a GIS analyst.  Successful candidate will demonstrate working knowledge of where to find and how to upload specific state and/or federal regulations during construction of GIS databases. Commensurate experience with assessment of site data relative to applicable state/federal standards is an important component of this position.  Below are general qualifications we look for:

General Requirements

  • College degree in GIS, Geology, or Environmental Science (professional certification or experience in GIS considered);
  • Experience developing GIS databases to support environmental investigation and remediation strategies;
  • Experience interfacing with environment analytical laboratories and processing data deliverables into project specific databases;
  • Experience working with project teams to evaluate environmental media and impacts relative to potential receptors and pathways;
  • Field experience as a geologist or environmental scientist is a plus;
  • Strong background/understanding of environmental chemistry a plus.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office;
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.

 This is a full-time position.  Salary is commensurate with experience.


Office Manager – Doylestown, Pennsylvania

We are currently seeking resumes from qualified Office Managers. Successful candidate for this position will be responsible for operation and maintenance of accounting records to include logging of payroll, office & project expenses, vendor billings, client invoicing, and payment processing, among other bookkeeping tasks. The position will also include: interface with health insurance broker to administer employee health insurance plans; administration of local income tax payments; coordination of landlord, annual fire marshal inspection, office cleaning services; and tracking/ordering/maintenance of office supplies, among other routine administrative tasks. A plus if candidate has familiarity/experience with OSHA HAZWOPER medical surveillance and related training programs.

General Requirements

  • 3+ Years of experience;
  • Demonstrated proficiency with:
    • Intuit Quickbooks accounting software, service-industry platform;
    • Microsoft Excel, Word, Explorer, and Outlook;
    • Internet;
  • Strong communication skills – able to effectively understand/exchange information (written & verbal);
  • Strong organizational skills – electronic & hard-copy filing of office and project documentation;
  • Understanding of & experience with health insurance plans;
  • Experience or skill managing day-to-day office operations;
  • Work well in team-oriented environment;
  • Trustworthy with highly confidential information.

This is a part-time position, with hours varying between approximately 8 and 32 per week, depending on week and time of month/year. Current manager has worked for company for more than 17 years and is planning to retire.

Hourly compensation to be based upon experience and mutual agreement. Health benefits may be considered based on candidate needs and hourly compensation.
