Geology is the study of time and pressure (yup-right out of The Shawshank Redemption)…and by its very nature involves processes occurring over a long period of time. That’s the eloquent way of inferring geologists tend to move at a bit slower…let’s just say we move at our own unique pace. Some sciences measure events in seconds; geologist measure events in years…millions of years. Geologic processes are also unique in their creation of new landscape through the destruction of previous terrain.
While AMO Environmental Decisions have been providing environmental consulting services ranging from preliminary site assessments to large-scale soil & groundwater remediation design and oversight since 2002, it has taken until 2016 to provide the internet-connected world with a fresh landscape. Small disclosure here…when it comes to providing unique solutions to satisfy environmental conditions and meeting project objectives & timeframes, we are aces; when it comes to keeping up with appearances…not so much! We’re working on the latter, but left to our own accord, we prefer the geologic timescale to the hands of a watch. In matters of the former, we may be small but we are strong.
We are a diversely talented group of geologists, hydrogeologists, environmental scientists, geophysicists & GIS Analysts working with a supporting cast of engineers, biologists, soil scientists, analytical laboratories, and drilling & excavation contractors. AMO’s technical staff brings over 150 years of scientific and regulatory experience to solve the most complex environmental quandaries.
So welcome and thanks for stopping by! Please feel free to reach out to any and all of us. It is our intention to keep this space updated with breaking news (remember breaking news is in reference to geologic time), company events, projects of interest, and trending industry topics. A sort of ongoing, informal introduction to who we are, what we do, where we are headed, and the unique ways we are getting there. A means for clients, potential clients, contractors, vendors, suppliers, regulators, and weary web travelers to see how they fit into our AMO family and how we can all help in making sound, pragmatic, and responsible Environmental Decisions.
