Vince Piazza, P.G.

Mr. Vince Piazza, P.G. received his B.A. in Geology from the University of Delaware in 1984 and has 30-plus years of professional experience. Mr. Piazza is a licensed Professional Geologist in Pennsylvania and Delaware, a U.S. Army Corps of Engineers-approved Drilling Inspector for earthen dams, and is a former licensed well driller in Delaware, Maryland, and Pennsylvania. He has been with AMO for over 10 years.

As an environmental geologist, Mr. Piazza’s primary areas of expertise include: environmental investigation and remediation, planning, implementation, and management of contaminated site closures and removal actions. Mr. Piazza also oversees installation of geotechnical soil borings and associated piezometers and inclinometers. He routinely prepares Health and Safety Plans for remedial projects, Quality Assurance Project Plans, and Self-Implementing Cleanup Plans for sites impacted with polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs).

Mr. Piazza has managed and implemented a wide variety of projects ranging from small manufacturing facilities to large, complex industrial facilities and Superfund sites. He has managed projects under the RCRA Corrective Action Program, Pennsylvania’s Environmental Cleanup and Residual Waste Regulations, Delaware Hazardous Substance Cleanup Act, New York’s TAGM, STARS, and Part 375 programs, TSCA regulations governing PCB cleanups, and CERCLA. He has strong and extensive experience in: all phases of investigation; design, implementation, and analysis of aquifer stress tests, and borehole drilling/sampling/well construction techniques.
